Urban Reform Center (URC) was established in response to the growing demand for urban advice in countries with developing and transitional economies. Urban Reform Center had the certificate of Authorization from Professional Engineers of Ontario-Canada to engage in the business of providing services that are within the practice of Professional Engineering.

Urban Reform Center works along two parallel lines:

·         In the field of Urban Planning and Engineering Consultation Services – Architecture, Planning, structural, infrastructure, roads, and landscaping–in Arab countries.

·         In the field of training, research, Pre-investment & feasibility studies, assets assessment and environmental impact.

The main objective of URC is the revival of deep-rooted cultural values in modern architecture, in addition to the application of advanced technology and its utilization in projects of urban development.

URC maximizes utilization of local expertise in conjunction with the latest technologies to provide technical and outsourced services.

 The structural design of buildings has been a service provided by the firm from its beginning. In recent years, the firm has also acted as prime consultant on numerous projects. The versatile nature of the Building Section enables it to coordinate complex building projects, or to provide specialized services such as design to architects, owners and prime consultants.

The staffs combines the practical experience, obtained through involvement with design and construction on variety of building projects, with the most up-to-date design techniques available.

We have developed and refined our expertise to comply with Utilities, Planning, Environmental, and Engineering department requirements.

Our drafting staff prepares and/or modifies engineering record drawings and details using AutoCAD, scanning, and raster-to vector conversion software, in accordance with specified drafting standards, including concept design plans and cost estimates.

We assist in preparing building elevations, floor plans, site plans, structural details, HVAC requirements, and pavement plans. We offer support in the conversion of single-line facility plan drawings into architectural floor plans for use by project engineers.

·        Design and Acquisition Support Services

URC’s corporate knowledge of established procedures and protocols enables us to offer effective solutions for design and acquisition requirements. We research technical design and acquisition documents, track and troubleshoot facility service requests, and evaluate cost transfers to ensure that client funds are being used effectively.

·        Environmental Sciences

·         We are dedicated to maintaining technical expertise ahead of requirements within the environmental and engineering service arena.

·         URC conduct building surveys and environmental compliance audits of both commercial and industrial facilities. Processes and procedures are reviewed and assessed for applicability with clients government directives.

·         URC generate hazard and exposure assessments, risk analyses, and economic analyses based on data gathered. We recommend remediation options, where necessary, that comply with Occupational Safety and Health guidance for abatement and/or demolition purposes.
